In case you have been contacted to participate in this study, it is important that you are aware of the procedure that is being followed during this study. The procedure will be explained at the start of the study and if necessary can be repeated on paper or online.

Purpose of the study

Within this study we will speak with people from vulnerable groups and their caretakers about their experiences with home isolation. What kind of problems do they experience? What kind of solutions do they find over time? How can policy support with lessening the burden of these problems? With stories and numbers we will analyse the impact of social isolation for vulnerable population and we will develop suggestions for policy change.

Ongoing business during the study

The duration of this study is 1 year (until April 2021). Your participation in this study will be around 30 minutes, occasionally longer. Conversation will mostly take 30 minutes. Questionnaires will take around 15-20 minutes to complete. Several people will be invited to talk again so we can observe changes over time.

Explanation consent form

By signing the consent form you give permission to collect, store and use your information for the purpose to answer the research question of this study as has been included in the above written goal. We would like you to be aware that further use of your information might be possible if it is compatible with the goal. The consent will in some case be given via administrators and will be done verbally.

Voluntary

If you decide not to participate in this study it will have no consequence in any which way for you. At any moment you can request us to delete your research information. If you decide to quit during this study, it can be done at any moment, without reason and without any consequences for you personally. We would like to make you attent on the fact that your personal information that have been collected up until then will we stored by us until requested otherwise. If you do not want this then you have the right to request deletion of your information, please sent us this request via info@coronatijden.nl or via the research you have had contact with about participating in this study.   

Your privacy is guaranteed

Your personal information (about who you are) will remain confidential and will not be shared without your explicit consent. We only collect this information in order to contact you if necessary. Your research information will be analysed further by the researchers who have collected the data. Research information that will be published in a scientific journal will be anonymous and will not be traceable to you. Fully anonymous research data can be shared with other researchers.
